Halloween Blog!

Hey babes!

It is officially Halloween weekend and I am SO excited. I have always loved Halloween and I truly think it gets better every year. I love everything about this season, pumpkin carving, dressing up, scary movies and the weather are a few things I cherish when October rolls around. I cannot wait to dress up this weekend! I go all out - seriously, I spend so much time picking out what I am going to dress up as, what I am going to wear and how I will style the look. Halloween has become a staple in the fashion industry through the love of seeing what our favorite celebrities are going to dress up as. The Kardashian-Jenners have always killed it, and I can’t wait to see their Halloween 2021 looks! One of the best parts of Halloween is seeing what the most popular Halloween costumes will be each year. In this blog, I am going to run through which costumes I think will be seen the most this weekend.

Cruella De Vil

I am calling it, Cruella De Vil is going to own Halloween this year. Not the Cruella De Vil you grew up watching, but the new reimagined Cruella played by Emma Stone in Disney’s epic new live action origin story. The new movie came out this year and people became re-obsessed with this look. Emma Stone served a multitude of high fashion looks, with multiple costume designs that would be perfect for a DIY costume. Whether you take your costume inspiration from the classic Cruella in Disney’s 1961 101 Dalmations or you’re looking to step out in a look inspired by Emma Stone’s movie wardrobe, you can’t go wrong.

Two Halloween's ago, Kendall Jenner killed this fairy look, and I have noticed that many people seem to follow in her footsteps each year when making a decision on their costume. Kendall always impresses on Halloween and inspires a wave of copycats! I am certain that this Halloween, there will be multiple costumes inspired by this look of Jenner. Her look was gold head-to-toe and featured a mini dress and gold strappy pumps. I considered dressing up as a fairy this year, and even though I decided not to, I definitely will come back to this idea at some point. While I was researching this costume, I was impressed by the amount of options there were to purchase the exact replica of Kendall’s with just a quick google search!

Squid Games

This costume goes without saying. Squid Games hit netflix like a storm and was soon the number one show in the U.S. I am expecting to see a lot of green track suits out this weekend, and I am sure you will see some too! Overall, this is a pretty laid back and easy costume to achieve, and I am sure that will convince even more people to hop on the Squid Game train this October 31st.

Britney Spears

Britney Spears has been an icon for so many years, so it is obvious that I have seen people dressed up as her ever since I can remember. I think there will always be a Britney somewhere in a Halloween crowd, but I think this year there will be an overwhelming amount. With all the news about Britney this year around the 'Free Britney Movement', there is no doubt that people will be dressing up as her as a way to spread awareness or support her. Britney has had so many iconic looks over the years - there are a multitude of costumes to choose from! I can’t wait to see all of the most iconic Britney looks this weekend!!

Let us know what you think will be the most popular costumes this year! I think I have some pretty good guesses, but you never know. I could be completely wrong! I hope you all have a great Halloween weekend whether you are staying in and watching scary movies, trick-or-treating or heading to a costume party. Happy Halloween!
